Award-winning Cloud Service Provider ANS has this week announced the news that they have been granted centre recognition by leading qualifications brand Pearson Education. The admission means that ANS will now be able to offer their Apprentices the opportunity pursue world-class qualifications through their ANS Academy.

The ANS Academy was founded in 2013 and provides real jobs, with industry leading training and hands-on experience for up to 20 apprenticeships each year. To offer any Pearson academic, vocational or work-based qualifications, organisations must go through a rigorous assessment process and conform to the organisation’s high standards.

Paul Shannon COO at ANS explains the driving factors for the accreditation and what it will mean for ANS:

“Pearson are a world renowned qualifications provider, the number of acceptances they make to their approved centre scheme is extremely limited and as such Pearson recognition is extremely sought after. Becoming a Pearson recognised centre means far more than just a name, our centre now has access to a wide range of support services enable our apprentices to fulfil their potential.”

“Pearson were extremely pleased with the exceptional teaching and learning standards held by the ANS Academy and the efficiency of the day-to-day organisation. Feedback from the organisation was that they had never seen an Academy so dedicated, focused and supportive towards their Apprentices. This is a testament to our Academy, apprentice champions and the apprentices themselves. ”

The Pearson accreditation will allow ANS to teach several world class qualifications including the BTEC ICT up to Level 4, in addition to traditional subjects such as English and Mathematics.

Shannon added:

“We’re able to offer these qualifications to our apprentices under one Examining board, eliminating the need for external organisations and ensuring that our apprentices receive training that is second to none.”

Beyond on-the-job training, ANS apprentices also have the opportunity to pursue vendor certifications and Academy graduates are guaranteed employment at ANS provided they have successfully fulfilled the requirements of the scheme. Shannon explains what the partnership will mean for the Academy’s future:

“This is an incredible achievement for us and helps us to now plan for our July/August intake. We’re already seeing a huge demand from young people just starting out in I.T. The recognition will allow us to extend our offer external businesses the opportunity to be able to send candidates to us for training.”

Pearson’s leading qualification brand, Edexcel has been helping people succeed in life through learning for nearly 20 years. Their qualifications combine a progressive approach with international content, allowing learners to achieve their full potential in today’s global economy and offer assessment service to schools and corporations.
