Managed Services and Cloud specialist ANS Group has appointed two new board directors.

Paul Shannon and Steven Bomberg, both of whom are existing heads of service within the company, will become Managed Services Director and Professional Services Director respectively.

The move follows a strong start to the year for ANS Group, which has picked up a string of new business wins with the University of Cumbria, Salford City Council, De Vere Group, WH Ireland as ANS’s move into managed services gathers momentum. The business also secured two national awards from its partner NetApp last month in recognition of the business’ marketing and growth credentials.
Paul, who joined ANS Group four years ago, has 15 years experience in the IT industry having started as a web developer. He has been instrumental in building ANS Group’s managed services team, which handles the business’ expanding base of managed services customers including De Vere Group and Salford City Council. In his new role, he will use his expertise to advance existing services and further develop ANS Group’s managed services offering.

Steven, who joined the business in 2010 following the acquisition of Alpha Business Computers, has overseen some of ANS Group’s largest projects including the installation of the business’ cutting-edge i3 infrastructure at the Land Registry and the migration of De Vere Group to ANS Managed Services. Steven has 17 years experience in IT, having developed his career initially at Accenture. His new responsibilities will include further enhancing ANS’s industry leading consulting, project management and migration services.

Paul Sweeney, ANS Group Managing Director, said: “Paul and Steven have proved their worth over the last 12 months as guests at the top table and I’m delighted to welcome them as permanent members of the board. Our culture of drive and passion are of uncompromising importance to ANS and the guys have time and time again demonstrated these values.”
