ANS Group delighted to lead Cisco & NetApp partners in the UK

ANS Group is delighted to announce that it is amongst the first group of Cisco and NetApp partners in the UK to be named as a FlexPod Premium Partner. This accreditation has been jointly created by Cisco and NetApp and recognises ANS’ achievement of the highest levels of FlexPod competency.

ANS Group have designed and built most of the FlexPod solutions that have been deployed in the UK, delivering a total of £40m worth of infrastructures and over 4,000 days of FlexPod consultancy. Customers that have selected to build their data centre on the ANS FlexPod design, Infrastructure 3.0, include: The London Borough of Tower Hamlets, Salisbury NHS and WH Ireland.

ANS’ latest offering is Infrastructure 3.0 as a service, providing a fully managed infrastructure that allows our customers to transfer all responsibility for providing the infrastructure to ANS. Business-focused SLAs will offer improved availability, disaster recovery, security and scalability, allowing the customer to focus on driving differentiation and growth. The DeVere Group have recently signed a contract that transfers the full management of their infrastructure to ANS.

The FlexPod Premium Partner accreditation is a joint venture between Cisco and NetApp to define the criteria for FlexPod specialisation amongst partners. It recognises expert-level competency to deliver unified server, storage and networking architectures, and rewards elite partners for having invested in sophisticated sales capabilities and services practices.

Partners that have been accredited benefit from use of unique branding, special listings in NetApp and Cisco partner locator tools and differentiated marketing and communications support.

A FlexPod data centre design uses a combination of Cisco UCS, Cisco Nexus switches, NetApp storage and VMware virtualisation in a standardised architecture that is validated by Cisco, NetApp and VMware. By unifying the components of the data centre, a FlexPod design enables organisations to increase the efficiency of the IT network.
