ANS Group is 14th fastest-growing company in the UK
ANS Group has placed 14th in the Investec Hot 100 list, climbing a staggering 23 places since being ranked 38th last year. The Investec 100, published by Real Business and now in its 15th year, is a rigorous analysis of the UK’s fastest-growing mid-sized private companies, highlighting the “strength and breadth of entrepreneurial activity and business growth” around the UK.
ANS’ inclusion for the second year in a row demonstrates that, even in a challenging economy, rapid, sustainable growth is possible. Going from strength to strength, ANS group has been recognised thanks to its award-winning FlexPod architecture and managed services offerings. The company has achieved significant business wins across all sectors, including Salford City Council and the University of Cumbria, and has 80% year-on-year growth and a turnover of £47m.
Calculated using compound annual growth rates over a four-year period, the Investec Hot 100 List gives a keen insight into the economic landscape of the UK, demonstrating changing industry trends and highlighting the regions that are flourishing. While IT services, technology and telecoms companies represent 15% of the list – the largest sector – companies from all regions and sectors are represented this year, suggesting a welcome flow of steady growth and development across the whole of the UK.
While The Hot 100 list is expectedly dominated by businesses in the South East, ANS is part of the 18% of businesses based in the North West – the second strongest regional hub – confirming the North West’s steadily growing influence in business and entrepreneurship. ANS Group Chairman and Founder Scott Fletcher has long championed the need for focusing resources in Manchester in order to promote and sustain a reputation as the Tech Hub of the UK, and ANS Group continues to be a frontrunner.
As Ed Cottrell of Investec says, “it’s great to see Manchester and the north-west offering a real alternative to London.”
With business growth and development comes employment, and Investec says that business leaders should be looking to the Hot 100 list to see where opportunities lie.
