ANS wins £2m NHS contract
Managed services and hybrid cloud specialist ANS has won a new £2.1m five-year contract with two NHS trusts in the South of England.
Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust serve a combined population of over one million people in the region. ANS will replace the organisations’ IT networks to reduce costs and provide them with a more efficient IT system.
ANS will deliver a Managed Infrastructure Service which, once installed, will allow the trusts’ IT infrastructure to scale to future needs and provide a robust foundation for IT services for staff and patients.
Paul Shannon, MD of Managed Services at ANS, said: “The service will provide both organisations with increased flexibility and resilience, ensuring that their IT systems suit both their current and future needs.
“This contract is the most recent in a string of large wins in the healthcare sector for ANS. NHS trusts recognise that ANS provides high quality services that can take them to the next level when it comes to their IT systems.”
Peter Gill, Director of Informatics at Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Poole Hospital, said: “As part of our strategy of moving towards being a digital organisation we’re deploying new document management systems to make the hospital more efficient for both staff and patients.
“ANS’ service will provide a platform to host new digital systems and allow our IT team to focus on developing these systems rather than managing and maintaining the infrastructure.”
