ATG to become data driven and transform customer experience

Leading global live entertainment company, Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG), has partnered with ANS, a leading provider of digital transformation and managed cloud services, to provide a modern data platform, which will lay the foundations for its ambitious strategy to become a data-driven organisation.

Founded in 1992, ATG has grown to be a world leader in live entertainment, covering every discipline in the industry. Amongst operating venues, running major ticketing platforms and producing award-winning shows, the team is also working towards becoming a digital-first company, with data at the centre of it all.

Although in-house resources were scaled down due to the pandemic, their aspirations to make data-driven decisions remained the same. ATG was looking for a partner who could help them future-proof their business using a modern data platform on Microsoft Azure.

ANS worked with ATG to provide a cloud-based platform that would empower the ATG team to unlock insights and scale faster which will transform the way they work, make decisions and interact with their customers.

The data platform’s real time integration with ATG’s eCommerce platform will maximise digital customer touch points as they aim to drive personalised experiences and increase revenue.

The ATG team can now look to rebuilding its data science capability, powered by Microsoft Azure machine learning services.

Director of Product and Engineering, Stephen Taylor, said: “The ANS team understood what we wanted to achieve and how to work together to get the best possible outcome. They were prepared every step of the way and having ANS on board certainly pushed us to find the best solution. Data is hugely important to us, together with digital, I believe they will be the growth engines for ATG over the next few years and beyond.”

ANS CTO, Joe Wolski, added: “Data is fast becoming any organisation’s most valuable asset. It’s incredibly exciting to partner with forward thinking companies like ATG who want to drive forward their digital transformation with data capabilities. We look forward to working with them as they lead the way in becoming a data-driven organisation.”
