Leading Utility company operates in Azure

A leading utility company in the Midlands has partnered with leading Cloud Services Provider, ANS to facilitate a cloud first strategy which includes the migration of over 30 applications to Microsoft Azure. With 400 employees across central and southern England, the customer needed a trusted partner with a proven track record of performing large scale migrations with minimal disruption.

After completing a Cloud Readiness Assessment, ANS built an Azure landing zone to host the workloads which included a Microsoft best practise Hub and Spoke architecture within UK South and UK West regions for geo-diversity.

The Application Migration included the re-hosting of multiple VM’s including Windows 2008, 2012 and also Windows servers running Microsoft SQL Server databases.

With the infrastructure now running in Azure, the customer is looking to innovate by utilising cloud-native PaaS services such as Azure SQL Database to reduce their TCO whilst providing a more scalable and robust platform.
