ANS teams up with Key 103 for Electric Run

Over 4,000 people gathered at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium on Saturday night to kick off the Electric Run, which took runners through a glowing 5k course. ANS was a headline sponsor of the event alongside Manchester’s popular Key 103 radio station.

The Electric Run series has newly arrived from the States, with Manchester being only the second city in the UK to host the event.

Runners were encouraged to wear bright clothes, face paint and neon accessories as they walked, ran and danced through different themed sections of the course. Key 103’s Kate Lawler was on hand after the event alongside ANS’ own Tom Barrand to DJ the event and keep the party going long after the final runner had crossed the finish line.

The official charity partner of the event was Breast Cancer Care, with runners also raising money for their own charity of choice. The ANS team raised over £500 for long-time partner Factory Youth Zone.

Scott Fletcher, CEO of ANS Group, said: “We like to get involved in a variety of community events, but the Manchester is a city that knows how to work hard and party hard, an attitude we also believe in at ANS. The Electric Run was the perfect opportunity for us to sponsor a unique event, raise money for charity and show everyone the ANS spirit!”
