ANS and Salford City Council win Best Private Cloud Project at VMworld 2013
This year’s VMworld conference offers full agenda of networking events, seminars, breakout sessions and more, all dedicated to discussing and debating the latest challenges in next-generation IT.
But one of the most anticipated sessions was undoubtedly the VMware Europe User Awards, hosted by Computer Weekly and SearchServerVirtualization.com. Up against four other cloud projects, it was ANS’ collaboration with Salford City Council that took the number one spot for the coveted ‘Best Private Cloud Project’.
ANS worked with Salford City Council to implement an efficient and cost-effective cloud solution and is a key example of how we utilise innovative technology solutions and work with customers to achieve business benefits that align with their core agenda. Our award-winning FlexPod i3 solution is widely regarded as the most efficient data centre and cloud design available, and has been delivered to business across the public and private sectors alike – allowing each one to become more efficient, reduce costs, become more environmentally-friendly and deliver an improved end-user experience.
The judges at VMworld said of the collaboration, “They not only met objectives of overcoming compliance challenges, but improved the IT infrastructure, cut costs, and even managed to support local businesses – extending cloud’s benefits beyond its own use.”
The VMworld award completes the trio of partner conference awards for ANS this year – having won the Cisco Data Centre and Virtualisation Partner of the Year award and NetApp’s Support Service Partner and FlexPod Partner of the Year awards earlier in 2013.
