Content Delivery Network Product Terms.

Product Terms

The following Product Terms apply if the relevant Services are included within your Quotation. In the event of a conflict between the Product Terms and the applicable Terms and Conditions, these Product Terms shall prevail, but only to the extent of such conflict. Any capitalised terms used in this document shall have the meanings set out in the applicable Terms and Conditions (save where expressly provided otherwise below) and any additional definitions outlined below shall also apply.

Content Delivery Network

Definitions

“Bandwidth” – the volume of data per unit of time;

“Cache Server” – a temporary store of website data placed closer to the user than the origin server to reduce latency and improve total network capacity;

“Origin Server” – the web server that contains the original web page and content, generating dynamic content on demand;

“Point of Presence” (or “PoP”) – a data centre containing numerous Cache Servers. Multiple Points of Presence are distributed geographically.

Capabilities

The Content Delivery Network (or “CDN”) is comprised of multiple Points of Presence distributed internationally to provide faster and more responsive web content delivery by caching static web content closer to the user.

The CDN is provided through the Company’s DDoSX network infrastructure.

SLA

Network infrastructure will be available 100% of the time. Network availability means the network infrastructure including routers, switches and cabling is functional (when not undergoing scheduled maintenance) and web content is being delivered as designed by the Cache Servers.

In the event of unplanned network failure we will refund 24 hours service for every 60 minutes loss of connection, up to a maximum value equal to your monthly subscription charge for CDN, to be applied to your ANS account.

Fair Usage

There is a monthly bandwidth limit per domain of 2.5 terabytes (2,500 gigabytes) for the usage of CDN services and the Company reserves the right to charge the Customer for additional bandwidth in excess of this bandwidth limit.

Bandwidth is measured based on web traffic that is served to the user directly from a Point of Presence within the Content Delivery Network. Web traffic that is not served directly from a Cache Server will not be counted within this limit as this traffic will be measured as part of the Origin Server’s bandwidth allowance as set out in the Conditions.

Acceptable Usage

In order to allow users in different parts of the world to take advantage of the benefits of a Content Delivery Network, data must be cached on Cache Servers in multiple Points of Presence within the international DDoSX infrastructure.

CDN is subject to the same Acceptable Usage Policy (or “AUP”) as all services provided by the Company.

The Customer must be aware that their data will be temporarily stored on servers situated outside of the United Kingdom.

You acknowledge that it is your responsibility to ensure that your use of CDN is permitted under applicable law and you agree to indemnify and hold the Company harmless if your use of the CDN is in violation of applicable local law.
