Aspire Housing Enhances Data Strategy Through ANS Partnership

Background

Aspire Housing is a not-for-profit housing provider that owns and manages over 9,500 properties and supports more than 19,000 customers across Staffordshire and Cheshire. The organisation has a longstanding strategic partnership with ANS, a leading digital transformation provider and data and AI specialist. 

The Challenge

Aspire had been using data reporting tools like Power BI to meet its analytical needs. However, the organisation faced challenges with data consistency, and were looking to improve and provide one central data platform. To realise its new data strategy and improve decision-making in areas such as proactive repairs and rent arrears trends, Aspire prioritised investment in advanced tools and skills.

The Solution

To address these challenges, Aspire partnered with ANS to implement a Microsoft Fabric modern data platform in Azure. This platform will: 

  • Predict maintenance needs by detecting patterns in repairs and preventing costly emergencies.
  • Foster a data-driven culture focused on quality, continuous improvement, and reduced manual processes.
  • Establish a single, trusted source of truth with governed data storage and reporting.
  • Deliver faster, more accurate insights to key stakeholders, including senior leadership and the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH).
  • The implementation is supported by ANS’ professional services and Co-Managed Data Service, along with ANS’ Data Centre of Excellence, which will provide mature data and AI expertise to collaborate with Aspire’s internal team over the next 12–18 months.
